At 7:13 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to indicate scattered showers and thunderstorms racing northeast at 40 mph. Most of the activity had shifted east of the Arkansas Oklahoma border. A less extensive area scattered showers and thunderstorms had developed to the west and was approaching the Arkansas border from far eastern Oklahoma. Through 8:30 PM...rain showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected to persist in far eastern Oklahoma and in western Arkansas. Brief heavy rain...large hail...and strong gusty winds will remain possible with any thunderstorms that develop. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect much northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas until 10 PM cst this evening.
